Growing up in a South Carolina mill town, I was taught to love family, neighbors and Jesus. Beauty and brokenness were easy to see in our small community. Through my dad’s conversion and the ministry of our church, I came to faith in Jesus Christ and grew to love the church.

In college, I met and fell in love with an East Tennessee girl. Beth and I married right after graduation and in time the Lord would give us three awesome kids: Emma, Kaley and Nathanael.

Early in our marriage, we moved to Orlando to attend Reformed Seminary where I interned with a new church plant. We later gained more life and ministry experience serving a small rural church in Florida’s panhandle. After three years, we moved to Beth’s hometown of Knoxville and served with a PCA church plant in the urban and university center. We gave 11 years of our lives to Christ and his church there, raising our kids, making lifelong friendships and experiencing the gospel in ways that continue to shape who we are today.

By God’s leading, we came to live and serve with Atlanta Westside where we have been richly encouraged and equipped. I was recruited last fall by the TN Valley Presbytery to plant a church in Morristown. After training, assessment, many visits and much prayer, we are ready take up the work of establishing a new church there. This will be the first PCA congregation in the area. With our two oldest in college, Nathanael, Beth and I are excited to make a new beginning in the Lakeway area and to meet many new friends in this lovely community.
