Dear Church Family,

We are thankful for the Lord’s continued work in our midst as we move toward becoming a particular church. A key step in this process is the nomination and election of ruling elders, men who will shepherd, teach, and lead this body according to God’s Word.

We are now opening the nomination period for elder candidates, beginning Thursday, June 5 and closing Monday, June 16.

We invite all communing members to prayerfully consider participating in this important process. As members of Christ’s body, you play a vital role in recognizing those among us who meet the biblical qualifications (see 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:6–9) and are called to serve as elders in Christ’s Church. After reading and prayerfully considering the qualifications of elder, you might find this article helpful for the particular aspects of the calling and character of an elder.

Please submit completed forms by the close of day on June 16.

Let us seek the Lord together, asking for wisdom, unity, and discernment as we entrust this process to Him.
