What can I expect if I visit one Sunday?
The primary way to connect with Lakeway Pres is to join us for worship.
We are meeting Sundays, 10:00 AM, at 442 W 2nd N Street in Morristown.
Whether you are a believer, a seeker, or a skeptic, you will be welcomed in love, and you will experience a worship service centered on the story of Jesus, and rooted in the historic practices of the church.
We sing hymns both old and new that tell the story of who God is and what he has done. We confess our sins, proclaim our faith and hear the good news of forgiveness. We pray for each other, our city, and our world. We read the Scriptures and hear a sermon from them. We also celebrate the Lord's Supper every Sunday.
What about my children? What can I expect for them?
We welcome all children in worship as they are deeply loved by Jesus! If you desire your children to be with you during the whole service, we welcome their presence and their sounds.We also provide a Nursery for toddlers (0–3yrs) as well as a Children's Church (4 years old through 2nd grade) that meets during the sermon portion of the service. We offer two private areas for mothers with nursing infants- one in the nursery classroom and one at the rear of the sanctuary.
What if I'm having doubts or feel skeptical about religion?
We welcome those who are asking hard questions but are finding the answers unsatisfying, who feel burned out in terms of their faith and are ready to throw in the towel, who feel hurt and disenfranchised by their past experiences with the church and wonder if God still has a spiritual home for them. And if you are a follower of Jesus Christ but do not have a local church family, we welcome you as well.
